036: The secrets of the world’s most successful people, revealed
Ever wonder what it would be like to get in the head of basketball legend Kobe Bryant? The famed martial artist Bruce Lee? The Oscar winning actor, Tom Hanks? The nation’s 39th president, Jimmy Carter?
Well, my guest knows.
On this episode of The Dr. Gundry Podcast, I chat with the New York Times bestselling author, longtime Esquire columnist, and host of the Big Questions podcast, Cal Fussman.
Cal has spoken to some of the biggest names in sports, politics, business, and entertainment — connecting with them on an intimate level and sharing their wisdom and insight with his readers.
You’ll hear what Cal learned from the famed boxer, Muhammad Ali, why “try” is a dirty word, and what Steve Jobs and other highly successful people have in common.
We’ll also discuss “the habits of excellence,” and how asking questions can shape your career, boost your health… and even get your kids to open up!
In this episode you’ll learn:
- What a former president can teach YOU about asking the right questions (2:00)

Hi Dr. Gundry,
As always I found great content on your podcast. As a man of science I always like to know reason for the things that happen and I have been observing my body’s reaction to several produces and learn over the years what’s good and bad for me, and I am very happy now I found in your podcast the reason of many of those reactions.
However, as an agronomist from Spain, I must defend the olive oil from my country. Please I encourage you to learn about the provenance of the majority of olive oil in the world, and well know as the best one, olive oil from Spain. Usually Italians (best in marketing), bottle olive oil from Spain and sell it as Made in Italy, not saying olive oil from Italy is bad, I just want to refer to your last comment on the 36 episode, people may think it’s not good oil if it says in the bottle made in Italy but origin Spain.
I invite you to tray our wonderful oil, if you haven’t tried yet, and enjoy the wonderful taste and benefits!
Feel free to contact me if you have any question.
Thanks!
