055: She was “trapped” in a wheelchair – until she did THIS
Can you imagine what it would feel like to be confined to an electric wheelchair for years… and then one day, being able to walk and even ride your bike again?
Well, my guest knows exactly what that feels like — and says FOOD helped her get her life back.
On this episode of the Dr. Gundry Podcast, I speak with Dr. Terry Wahls, a professor at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, a modern day medical marvel, and a good friend of mine.
In 2000, Dr. Wahls was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disease that affects more than more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
But after years of steady decline, she was able to turn things around.
In 2007, she began a hunter-gatherer diet that employes FOOD as medicine.
And the results were astonishing.
Within a year, Dr. Wahls was able to walk through the hospital without a cane, and even ride a bike!
Tune in to learn more about her journey, and how the right diet can dramatically decrease the symptoms of M.S. and other serious health problems.

I truly love how Dr. Wahls has been able to get the message out to the masses however, I also feel had she and others not had the diet and information provided by Dr. Ashton Embry long before Dr. Wahls MS patients would not be as far along with diet vs medications. We need to give more credit to Dr. Embry. Not only should MS patients listen to the advise regarding diet but those with cancer and even those of us with no issues or symptoms showing at this time. Please watch Living Proof on Amazon Prime and hear Matt Embry’s story as he has been on a successful diet, supplementation and exercise routine since 1995 keeping his MS at bay.
