Bee eating this way for months feel great but haven’t lost any weight .
First 5 dAYS WERE AWSOME LOST 1 POUND A DAY NEXT 6 DAYS I CANT LOOSE 1 POUND HOW DO I GET THIS DIET GOING AGAIN?
Please provide a shopping list for each week as it would be very helpful in not being overwhelmed by all the learning that is going along with this change that many of us are trying to go through. You provide all the information but not in an entirely friendly format. I did not notice any shopping list in the PP cook book, 30 day challenge book or the PP main book. Please rectify this.
I agree, totally frustrated. I thought I had created a list then find I’m missing a lot. HELP!!
Completely agree John. They need a week by week shopping list.
Did anyone found a week by week shopping list ? 🤯
I am starting Phase 1 cleanse on Saturday. I’ve purchase the Plant Paradox Bon, Cookbook and the Quick and Easy book. I’m trying to simplify my shopping list and recipe references, its taking a while but I think I’m ready and very excited. I wanted to know if this product is OK in Phase 2: ‘Thrive Powdered Coconut Creamer? ingredients: Coconut Oil, Organic Coconut Sugar, natural flavors, medium chain triglycerides (MCT Oil), silicon dioxide (flow agent). I have many more questions about foods. What is the best place where I can send my questions to get answers. Thanks!
I have high LDL, I’ve been told that coconut products are bad for the LDL, how will using these products on your diet effect my LDL?
I have that same question. I have been using those items in moderation and once my LDL is in a low range, I will slowly introduce them while being monitored.
Does 100% whole grain, old fashioned oat meal have lectin in it?
Yes
Where do we get questions answered?
Is allulose okay as a sweetener? It’s natural and does not affect blood sugar. Available here in powder and liquid and is 1-1 exchangeable for sugar in recipes. Approved for keto.
I have been trying to find grain free Tempeh. What brand or where can I find this?
Also, I can find hemp tofu but the ones that I have found have grain/beans in them as well. What brand are people using for this; help!
My wife has just been diagnosed with Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and doctors are having trouble with getting her platelets back to normal levels after platelet and steroid therapy. Could the flu shot that she had 12 days ago be a factor considering she hasn’t had any other new medications within that time?
I live in Sweden and love our fil and yoghurt but its with cow Milk. We do have Coconut yoghurt but thats way to expensive for my wallet and I havent been able to find goat/sherp milk/yoghurt anywhere. Do you have any suggestions for substitut?
It’s beyond meat dr’s G recommended?
Can anyone tell me if you are allowed Oat Milk as a milk alternative on this diet? It is the only alternative that I have found is tasty in coffee.
No oats Or grains from no list in any form
I’m curious. Are people using this plan to lose weight or regain health? I walk two miles daily and also squeeze in short bike rides but I’m not focusing on my weight. I have acid reflux, high blood pressure and acne for the first time in my life and am overwhelmed!I’d love to hear from you!
I think people use it for both or one or the other. They can often be linked if someone is over or under weight. I just finished reading the book and I am about to start the program. He says your body will naturally go to the weight it feels best at by eating this way. Also, check out the book as there are many case studies he shares of people solving the problems you have. As a fairly thin person I am doing it to solve chronic acne and mood disorders.
To Valerie. I think the majority of people following this diet are doing it because of health concerns. Excessive weight is also considered a health concern, so to answer your question it’s for both reasons in some cases and only one reason for others. I have found this way of eating to be difficult at times to stick to 100% but it does work. Even though I some times stray from the plan, I find Occasional (cheats) are okay once you have had some time for healing to occur. This is a new lifestyle, NOT a diet. Don’t expect to go back to eating the way you were before if you want to continue with better health. If you look at it as a diet, one to do for a short time then go back to eating the same as before, you will have a recurrence of your symptoms. My best advice is to not expect to find ways to have everything taste the way you expect it to, rather enjoy the experience of enjoying new foods that taste great. I routinely invite people over for Paradox Meals and get asked for the recipes because they love them. Dr. Gundry has several books out with many recipe ideas as well as recipes on his website. Another great source of ideas for recipes is lectinfreemama.com by Autumn Boyle. I made my 17 year old Niece a strawberry shortcake recipe for her Birthday using whipped coconut instead of whip cream and she loved it. Enjoy your journey with this healthy eating and I hope your medical concerns disappear.
I am 80 yrs old, fairly active, have inflammatory problems hence autoimmune disorders. Last year read PPQE & decided NOT to do it. This year my daughter/partner started the Longevity Paradox so I bought the book & it all seemed timely so I am going to give it my best shot. Have enjoyed the explanations, so easy to understand. I think you are quite funny. Wonder if your wife thinks you are funny? hmmm
Thank-you this list is helpful. I was wondering if there was any truth to pressure cooking tomatoes to make them lectin free? Also do you have pressure cooker recipes? I am the only one in my household on this diet as well as working full time, I need to find some quicker lectin free recipes so that I can eat with my husband and children.
I have a couple of questions, and wondering how to get a response? I assume this will come back to me using the Dr. Gundry name on my email address? I need to know if I can eat the Quest Chocolate Mixed Nuts bars, and, a different companies Bee Pollen ? Merry Christmas 🎄 to you, and Peaceful in Christ Jesus as well.
Being a really happy cook, I am adapting to the first week easily. I’ve taken off 6 pounds in 6 days and have been enjoying the imagination that goes into flavorful meals. I haven’t needed a shopping list. Grab the big bottles of EVOO, and head to the produce department. No Guilt ! Plan on throwing away some of the big basket of vegetable selections as you learn how to combine them. Clean everything like kale leaves and leeks when you get to your kitchen so all are ready to go. Make an effort with leeks. Just cook a lot of them in water and purée for soup, then freeze in portion size. When ready to enjoy, leeks go well with herbs, but not needed. Fresh fish & some canned fish too – sardines, anchovies, tuna. Meats are like hors d’oeuvres (remember Greek dolmathes?) Leave out the rice and substitute with more vegetables than ground beef with chopped garlic, onion, herbs and wrap in grape leaves. Freeze any excess for another meal. I have loads of small containers for freezer portions & saving for another meal. Left over cooked greens go well in salad with arugula, and any combination of other like radish and mushroom, chopped chicken or salmon. Olives! Herbs and Spices – start easy with basics like fresh thyme, tarragon, parsley, and add cinnimon (sticks in hot water for a refreshing all the way through the day drink) , ginger (fresh is great too). The key is experimenting with flavors. Even the best cooks have failures – or at least experiments that are not repeated. Think like an 8 year old and it will come naturally. And that means have fun!
