070: She changed her life, and her illness “vanished”
Since The Plant Paradox came out two years ago, I’ve been warning people about the 7 Deadly Disruptors, seemingly “healthy” substances that can actually harm you.
And believe it or not, a few of these are “sneaky” health hazards found in everyday household items.
The good news is, you can get rid of them!
On this episode of the Dr. Gundry Podcast, I speak with the author, podcaster, and award-winning health blogger Katie Wells (aka the “Wellness Mama”).
As a mom of six, Katie has developed fast, easy, and affordable hacks for living a wellness-centered lifestyle.
Her popular blog, WellnessMama.com, helps take the guesswork out of healthy living through practical tips, recipes, natural beauty and cleaning tutorials, and more.
Her tips are simple to follow, whether you’re a mom or not!
Tune in to hear how Katie became a bona-fide Wellness Mama, and how to jumpstart the ultimate “Healthy Home Makeover” without breaking the bank.

Hi Dr. G,
Thank you for another great episode, all the topics you choose are very interesting to me. We should be mindful about the chemical substances we come in contact with, no question about that. How do we know what’s really dangerous though, does it mean we should all turn into chemists? I’m passionate about cosmetics and I always look at the ingredients before I buy something. I looked up the recurring ones and learned what they do, but they often have long, complicated names and you don’t always feel like looking everything up. So how do we recognise the bad chemicals in products?
PS:I’m very grateful for your expertise and I’m an avid listener 🙂
