075: David Sinclair: Harvard scientist says “old age” is the newest disease?
If you’ve ever dreamed about living a longer, healthier life (and who hasn’t?), then this episode of The Dr. Gundry Podcast is for you.
My guest is none other than Harvard scientist and world-renowned longevity expert Dr. David Sinclair.
On this episode, Dr. Sinclair and I will discuss the most dangerous meal of the day, the benefits of “stressed out” food, and the cutting edge technology that could one day help ALL of us live healthy lives into our 100s — and beyond.
We even discuss the one food secret that all of the world’s longest-living populations share.
Believe me — you’re not going to want to miss this one!
In this episode, you’ll learn:

Incredibly interesting interview, thank you for this wonderful gift 🙂
Two questions came to mind:
What do you mean exactly by “eat more stressed plants”? Plants that don’t look so good? I think you mentioned this before.
And I currently live in Spain so I’m sure I got enough vitamin D, but if I wanted to take the supplement, would any Vitamin D supplement go? How much am I supposed to take a day?
Dr Gundry, in your podcast with David Sinclair you discussed taking activated Charcoal to help detoxify the heavy metals out of your system when fasting. I do time restricted eating and eat in a 6-8 hour window. When should I be taking the activated charcoal? During the last meal prior to fasting? Love your cookbook and the plant paradox book. Thanks. David Masse
Dr. Gundry: This comment is not about a specific podcast. I have enjoyed all of your podcasts and they really help fill in the gaps for me with how to further improve my health and stay motivated. I would like to request information, either in article format or podcast, that addresses how to help the gut and immune system while taking antibiotics. I was just prescribed antibiotics for cellulitis and I did not see a way to avoid the medication. Please help this Plant Paradox, no dairy, pescaquarian with what to consume while having to take a broad spectrum course such as doxycycline. (The Dr. advised all the foods I avoid!: potatoes, rice, white bread).
On Lectins.
Doctor at what temperature are lectins destroyed in cooking pulses?
Is 121 degrees centigrade sufficient.
Dr. Gundry, Does Lectin Shield interfere with the effectiveness of Metformin? Can it cause blood sugar levels to remain higher for those with type 2 Diabetes Thanks, Al Valiquet
